Interior Cleaning

What's included in OTHS interior cleaning service?

What OTHS Interior Cleaning Covers

A standard OTHS interior cleaning visit in the Salem and Albany area covers the surfaces that drive day-to-day cleanliness in a home: kitchens, bathrooms, and the shared living areas. Industry-standard scope, executed by affiliate cleaners with 10+ years of professional cleaning experience.

The full inclusions list is detailed by room type below. We offer three service levels — standard cleaning, deep cleaning, and move-in/move-out cleaning — which cover progressively more surfaces and use more time per visit.

Kitchen and Bathroom Detail

The kitchen and bathrooms get the most attention because that's where most cleaning value lands.

Kitchen:

  • Countertops, backsplashes, and sinks
  • Cabinets — interior wipe-down and exterior surface cleaning
  • Stovetop and range
  • Oven (interior)
  • Refrigerator (interior)
  • Microwave (interior and exterior)
  • Dishwasher (interior and exterior)

Bathrooms (each bathroom in the home):

  • Toilet — full surface, including base and behind
  • Shower or tub — walls, floor, fixtures
  • Sink and counter
  • Mirrors and glass
  • Tile grout (visible scrub-down on standard; deeper grout work on deep clean)
  • Faucets and fixtures, polished

The deep-cleaning level extends time spent on tile grout, appliance interiors, and any built-up areas a standard cleaning would lightly address.

All-Rooms Coverage and Service Levels

For every room — bedrooms, living areas, hallways, dining, home office:

  • Floor surfaces: vacuum carpet, sweep and mop hard surfaces (hardwood, tile, vinyl, laminate)
  • Baseboards
  • Light switches and outlet covers
  • Door frames and door surfaces
  • Windowsills (interior)
  • Blinds (dust-down on standard; deeper clean on deep service)

Service level differences:

  • Standard cleaning: Routine maintenance scope. Best for already-clean homes that need regular upkeep — typically 2-4 hours for an average 3-bedroom house.
  • Deep cleaning: Extended time on grout, baseboards, appliance interiors, blinds, and any built-up areas. Recommended once or twice yearly, or as a first-time visit before transitioning to standard.
  • Move-in/move-out cleaning: Specialty scope including inside cabinets and drawers (empty), inside appliances (full detail), and security-deposit-grade attention to fixtures. Typical 4-8 hours depending on property size.

Standard Exclusions and How to Start

Some services are outside the scope of standard interior cleaning. We're explicit about these so you know what to expect:

  • Carpet shampooing — separate service; we vacuum but don't extract or shampoo carpets
  • Wall touch-up painting or repair — not part of cleaning scope
  • Mold remediation — needs specialized remediation services beyond surface cleaning
  • Pest removal — separate from cleaning work

If your situation calls for any of those, we'll tell you upfront and can refer you to the right service category.

OTHS provides same-day estimates on new interior cleaning inquiries in the Salem and Albany area. A property walkthrough or photo review usually surfaces enough information to scope a service level (standard, deep, or move-in/out) and provide pricing in the same conversation.
