Every seasonal install is a lease: we bring the commercial-grade lights, clips and timers, put them up, keep them working through the season, and take everything down and away in early January.

Salem's neighborhoods ask for different installs. The older homes around Grant and Gaiety Hill have detailed trim and broken rooflines, so we light the lines and porch details that define the house rather than covering every surface, usually in warm white. Ranch homes in Lancaster and the newer subdivisions in Hayesville and West Salem have long, simpler rooflines that take a continuous run well and pair with lit trees. West Salem's hills and the homes near the river catch more wind, so those installs get heavy-duty clips and extra anchor points.

How a Salem Install Works

We walk your home with you, measure the rooflines, and give you an exact quote before anything goes up. The lights clip to your gutter edge, so clear gutters make for a cleaner install. If yours are full, we also do gutter cleaning in Salem.

Most installs go up between late October and mid-November, and the earlier dates fill first, so it pays to book early. Takedown in early January is part of the lease, with no separate fee (what removal includes).

Salem averages over 20 inches of rain between November and February, plus the occasional ice storm. That is why we use outdoor-rated, commercial-grade cords and connections instead of household extension cords, and clips made for gutter edges instead of the big-box kind. Leased installs, which include installation and takedown, start at $7 per linear foot for single-storey rooflines, with a $350 minimum. Two-storey homes and complex rooflines are priced higher. Permanent lighting is quoted separately. Every install gets an exact quote before any work begins.

If any lights go out during the season, we fix them at no additional charge.
